By Rhea Heggaton Traveling children's museum comes to Los Cabos The Papalote (“kite” in English) Children’s Museum will come to Cabo San Lucas from February 3-April 30, 2006. This is a traveling version of the Papalote Mueseo del Niño in Mexico City. Here is a place that children of all ages, as well adults that are still “kids at heart,” can freely explore, touch and experience a variety of exhibits designed to teach, but are equally amusing and fun. A giant puzzle of Mexico helps the youngsters learn the States in Mexico; others learn how to create a “God's eye” (yarn weaving by Huichol Indians) and other indigenous crafts. For future doctors and nurses, there is a whole medical area, including a pig heart to inspect. The Papalote Children’s Museum comes with a planetarium where views learn the secrets of the universe, as they lay back to view the “night sky”. There are areas with computers, puzzles, educational toys, plus an area for younger children, where they can satisfy their natural curiosity without danger. The bubble room is another favorite where kids are enchanted by their bubble creations and all the soapy fun they can have. With 92 divided interactive exhibitions in four subjects the museum gives children of all ages three hours of fun for a very small price.
